Commission Price Guide
Commissioning a piece of jewellery provides you with a personal and uniquely designed piece. An item of commissioned jewellery represents excellent value for money when compared to its mass produced high street counterpart.
A selection of detailed designs (minimum of three designs, to a possible six for any one item) will be produced for you once we have discussed your requirements, shared ideas and considered your budget (in the light of your desired bullion, colour, carat, cross-sections, widths etc, together with your preferred gems); the design will incorporate all we have discussed, your style and personalities as well as mine, but as the amount and quality of all materials used in the process will have an impact on the cost of your commission, this may not be applicable.
This service is provided for a set fee of £100.00 which is deductible from the final cost of your commission. From time to time working drawings may be the preferred method of aligning design and realisation expectations; in such instances the design fee covers a set of working drawings for any one item.
Once you have had the opportunity to study your design selection, we will discuss them and if necessary work together on your chosen design allowing it to evolve until we both feel that the right solution has been reached.
At this stage an accurate estimate, which will be based on the actual price of your chosen materials, will be prepared for you. The fashioning of your commissioned piece of jewellery will commence upon payment of 40% of the estimated cost. You will be kept informed of the progress of your commission; a further 30% of the cost will be due half way through the fashioning process, with the outstanding balance payable prior to delivery.
On completion, commission pieces are beautifully packed in a presentation box, with an accompanying valuation for insurance purposes. (Please see commission portfolio for an indication of our design range).
As all the pieces depicted on this site are the property of private individuals worldwide, we feel it is inappropriate to divulge their prices; however as a rough indication of the prices of the pieces depicted, rings range from £400.00 to £11000.00, necklaces from £600.00 to £2700.00, bracelets/bangles from £380 to £2500.00, and earrings from £400.00 to £2100.00.
